Ashtrees Cuts

Computer systems sized to the job,

DRESSED

Ashtrees Cuts LLC assesses each field operation before a single line of software is written, cutting away the systems that do not carry their weight and dressing what remains into one clean, integrated platform. From our stand at 6673 W Hunter Mesa Dr, West Valley City - 84128-1235, United States, we build the connective tissue between dispatch, crews, vehicles and finance. Every engagement ends the same way: a system that is measured, integrated and ready to work.

Six services, six limbs

What we integrate and dress

Each service below is a separate limb of the same tree. We prune them independently, then graft them back into one integrated system that speaks a single language across the business. Read a short description here, then follow the link for the full method.

A

Field Ops System Integration

We connect the schedulers, dispatch boards and crew devices that rarely talk to each other into one field operating system. The work begins with an assessment of every existing tool, then a staged cut-over so no crew loses a day in the field. Read the Field Ops method →

C

Mobile Work Order Platforms

We build offline-tolerant mobile work order platforms that keep functioning when the truck rolls out of signal range. Technicians capture photos, parts and signatures on the device, and the office sees the ticket close in real time. Read the Mobile Work Order method →

D

Fleet and Route Telemetry

Vehicle telematics, fuel cards and route plans are stitched into a single telemetry layer, so routing decisions rest on real miles and real idling time. We give dispatchers one map with live asset state instead of four browser tabs. Read the Fleet Telemetry method →

F

Job Costing Dashboards

Labor, materials, subcontractors and equipment hours are modelled into a job costing dashboard that updates as work is entered. Managers see margin per job while there is still time to correct the course. Read the Job Costing method →

G

Customer Portal Builds

We craft branded customer portals where clients view work history, approve quotes, download reports and raise requests without calling the office. The portal is drawn to match the way your customers already think about service. Read the Customer Portal method →

K

Crew Safety Tracking Systems

Digital checklists, lone-worker alerts, credential expiry tracking and incident capture are assembled into one safety tracking system. Records land in a searchable register that stands up to audit without extra paperwork. Read the Safety Tracking method →

Ashtrees Cuts opens its winter dormant-season integration window each year, a quieter stretch when crews are off the road and we cut in new systems with the least possible disruption to live operations.

The stand

Assessed, cut, dressed

Ashtrees Cuts LLC is a computer systems design and integration practice working inside the broader professional, scientific and technical services sector. We specialise in the operations layer of field service businesses: the point where scheduling, mobile work, routing, costing, customer communication and safety all have to agree with one another. Most operators arrive with a patchwork of applications, spreadsheets and paper that grew organically over a decade. Our job is not to add another tool on top, but to assess what is genuinely load-bearing, cut the rest away, and dress the remaining system so it carries weight cleanly.

The name is deliberate. A pruner does not simply remove growth. A proper pruning cut is assessed against the branch collar, made cleanly, and then sealed so the tree can compartmentalise the wound and keep growing. We apply that discipline to software estates. Every recommendation is measured against a named operational problem, every integration is made at a defined seam, and every system we leave behind is documented so the client can keep it healthy without us.

Our work sits inside computer integrated systems design. That means we take responsibility for the joins, not just the endpoints. A mobile work order platform that never reconciles with the accounting ledger is a failed build, no matter how attractive the screens are. A fleet telemetry feed that dispatchers do not trust is noise. We treat integration as the primary deliverable and the individual applications as components that serve it.

We also design for the realities of the trades we serve. Contractors work in weather, in basements, in crawl spaces and on rooftops. Devices drop, signals fade, gloves get wet and sunlight washes out screens. A system that assumes perfect connectivity or careful data entry will be abandoned by the second week. Everything we deploy is tested against those conditions, then hardened until the crew stops thinking about the software at all.

Because we are a small practice, the people who assess your systems are the people who build them. There is no handoff to a junior delivery team once the sale is made. The stand at 6673 W Hunter Mesa Dr in West Valley City is where the design work happens, and it is where you can reach a person who knows your integration personally.

How an engagement runs

Three cuts, in order

1. Assessment

We inventory every system, integration and manual workaround, then map them against the operational outcomes they are supposed to serve. You receive a written assessment naming what stays, what is cut and what is grafted together.

2. Integration

We build the field ops platform, mobile work orders, telemetry, costing, portal and safety tracking in the order that delivers value fastest, cutting over in stages so the business never stops running.

3. Dressing

We seal the work with documentation, staff training and a support window for the dormant season, then hand over a system your own team can run and extend without rebuilding it.

Where it matters

Built for field service operators

Our six services are shaped by the businesses that need them most: mechanical and electrical contractors, utility and vegetation crews, facilities maintenance teams, HVAC and plumbing operators, telecom installers and inspection services. These are organisations where the difference between a connected system and a disconnected one shows up directly in margin. When a work order is re-keyed three times, when a route is planned from memory, when a safety record is filed in a folder nobody can search, the cost is real and recurring.

We help each client move from that state toward one integrated operating picture. The Field Ops System Integration work establishes the backbone. Mobile Work Order Platforms put the field end in every technician hand. Fleet and Route Telemetry makes travel visible and controllable. Job Costing Dashboards turn that activity into financial truth. Customer Portal Builds extend the system outward to the people who pay for the work. Crew Safety Tracking Systems close the loop by protecting the people doing it. Together they form one tree with six limbs, and we prune and graft them as a single organism.

A note on the growth rings

Every service card on this site carries a small growth-ring glyph. The rings are not decoration for their own sake. They record how many distinct systems a typical engagement touches for that service: two rings for a light graft, four or six for a full crown reduction. When we assess your estate, we count the same rings, and the count tells us how much cutting and dressing the job will need.
